When you call us the call is coming directly into our office. The call is not being forwarded to a different state. A lot of companies have toll free numbers or numbers that take you to a different state and they subcontract the work to people with little or no experience.that are taking in Pennsylvania DEP #2038 and work in the tri-state ea. We are also certified in West Virginia, only 35 minutes away. RM000133 is our certification number in West Virginia . When a call comes into our office it is handled by us, the owners. We do not outsource any of our work. We are the one giving the estimate and doing the work. This allows a one on one approach which gives the customer a better level of confidence by knowing the person they talked to on the phone, is the one showing up at their home to do the work. The owner, Michael Nowicki, is certified through the Pennsylvania DEP and is the one doing the work. Since 1985, he has been involved with residential construction and masonary work. I have been in the radon business since 1999 and have done over a thousand radon remediation systems. When a radon system is installed, it becomes a permanent fixture in your home, so you want to hire someone with a good background in construction. Every home is different, so we design the system for your homes needs. We do not hire subcontractors or have any employees that come out to do the work, we take care of every system ourselves.
Our mission is to provide prompt, professional service to all of our customers. We pride ourselves in being professional and courteous.
We specialize in installing high quality radon remediation systems, replacing radon fans, and repairing radon systems.
We are a full time, full service radon remediation business.
All systems come with a lifetime warranty
We can match prices of other certified mitigators pricing.
We have no subcontractors, we take care of all the work ourselves. This way we are able to keep our prices low. When you call and ask for an estimate, you are talking to the owners on the phone. The information is first hand, this way when we come to your home, we are the ones you have discussed the job with. A lot of companies are out of state with toll free numbers, or numbers that have call -forwarding that out source the jobs to a different states. They are subcontracting the work to people with little or no experience in the industry. They then combine the years of experience and the jobs that they all do to make it look like they have done a tremendous amount of jobs. Other companies sit in the office and talk to you on the phone and give you estimates. They are extremely knowledgable explaining everything to you in detail and you think they are doing the work but they send out their employees who you have never seen or spoken to. When you dial 412-851-4231 you know who is coming out to do the work. This way it is a one on one approach and no misunderstanding about what was talked about on the phone. Steel City Radon has been in business since 1999 and we are centrally located in the tri-State area.
Our prices start at $725.00 which includes a Lifetime Warranty on the radon system. This depends upon the radon levels and the type of fan we have to use. At this price, it is affordable to install a radon system and get rid of unhealthy radon levels, plus you have a high quality, quiet, maintainence-free radon remediation system. There are no hidden fees or extra charges to use downspout on the exterior of the home. Plus we do not charge extra to upgrade a fan. These are our fees for a normal installations.
We guarantee to bring levels below 4.0pci/L. SCR does not test at all we provide the homeowner with a free test kit. The test then is sent to an independent lab so everyone knows the system is working properly. If the homeowner does not want to use a test kit they can call a list of certified radon testers and have a test done at their expense. All of our systems our reported to the DEP so after the short term test comes back you can contact the DEP for a free long-term test so you can get your yearly average. There should never be a charge for an alpha-trac after your system is done in the state of Pennsylvania.
